Wiley’s journals in the field of biomaterial research: We will discuss the aims and scopes of Wiley’s in-house top-tier biomaterials journals such as Advanced Healthcare Materials, Advanced Therapeutics, Advanced Nanobiomed Research, Macromolecular Bioscience etc. in addition to top-tier broad-scope journals Advanced Materials, Advanced Science and Small.

What are the guidelines for publishing health/bio manuscripts? The topic will mainly focus on the minimum checklist while submitting to bio/health journals. We will discuss the ethical approvals required for experiments on animals, experiments involving human subject volunteers, cell lines etc. We will also cover ethical standards for animal care and the necessary statistical requirements.

How to follow ‘Publication ethics’: We will focus on general guidelines of publication ethics and on additional essential points related to bio-related publications.

Dr. Debarati Bandyopadhyay, Editor (Advanced Science, Small), Wiley

Debarati earned her M.Sc. in Chemistry from IIT Kharagpur, India, and her Ph.D. from IISc Bangalore, where she specialized in residue conservation in enzymes. Subsequently, she held three postdoctoral positions: at CeNSE, IISc, where she focused on early diabetic biomarkers; at Philipps University Marburg, Germany, where she researched Fe-S cluster proteins; and at IIT Kanpur, India, where her work centered on bioremediation and biotransformation.

With expertise in the interdisciplinary areas of Biochemistry, Biophysics, Cell Biology, and Chemistry, she now serves as an Editor for Advanced Science and Small in Wiley.

Sergey is a research communication expert with a background in organic and physical chemistry (PhD, 2010). He has authored 13 high-impact publications (h-index 7) and worked in research institutions across Russia, France, and Germany. Since 2012, his focus has shifted to scientific information distribution, holding roles at Thomson Reuters, Clarivate Analytics, and currently Wiley. Sergey remains active as an educator and consultant, promoting best practices in scientific communication and Open Access publishing.
